燃氣閘閥是一種安全閥，被安裝于各處污煤氣、潔凈煤氣管路中作閉路設備，主要用于冶金、制焦、煤氣、化工等企業(yè)煤氣管線(xiàn)的啟閉控制。燃氣閘閥閘板為楔式雙閘板閘閥對密封面楔角的加工精度要求較低，容易密封，溫度變化不易造成卡住房和擦傷，密封面磨損后維修方便，但結構較復雜、零件較多，閥門(mén)的體形及重量較大。

      燃氣閘閥相比于其他閘閥有其自己**有的特點(diǎn)：

      1、燃氣閘閥閥體底部設有排渣孔，便于排除污垢。閥體內部介質(zhì)通道是直通的，介質(zhì)流經(jīng)閘閥時(shí)不改變其流動(dòng)方向，因而流動(dòng)阻力較小。介質(zhì)可從閘閥兩側任意方向流過(guò)，均能達到接通或截斷的目的。

      2、燃氣閘閥均為明桿閘閥，閥桿帶動(dòng)閘板一起升降，閥桿上的傳動(dòng)螺紋在閥體外部，因此，可根據閥桿的運動(dòng)方向和位置直觀(guān)地判斷閘板啟閉和位置，而且傳動(dòng)螺紋便于潤滑和不受流體腐蝕，但它要求有較大的安裝空間。
